Surplus Princess Gets Episode Cut

I'm not sure how I feel about this. We know that networks often add or subtract episodes from shows often and it depends on how well the show is doing or sometimes circumstances not related to it. Recently we found out that tvN is cutting Surplus Princess down from 14 episodes to just 10, which means we have 2 more episodes to wrap everything up.

With episode 8 just airing (review coming soon), we will have only 2 weeks to put it all together in a nice little package that will satisfy viewers and also make sense from a writing standpoint. The reason given was so it won't drag it out, but it probably has to do with the ratings,which haven't broken 1%. It airs only once a week, they could have made it a 2 day-a-week drama like others then perhaps it would have higher ratings, but I can only guess. Nothing we can do, but hope that the writers can actually give what they originally wanted in episode 10 or they can just leave a giant open ending and have us questioning everything. Who will Ha Ni end up with? Yes she's into Shi Kyung, but the love triangle just started. I doubt we'll get enough time to actually sort this out. I mainly feel for the actors and crew who were all involved. To have your show just cut down by 4 episodes is major, I mean they could have just had it be 12 episodes then we still could have gotten a more complete ending.

The Korean remake of Liar Game will be the followup drama.
