T-Drama Review: When I See You Again Episode 6
Back from the depths of disappointment, episode 6 fared much better in my honest and humble opinion. Frustrations were still there, but the decisions made showed some plot movement - which is what we needed. Bad.
We still have You Qian's change in attitude confusing An Xi, which is understandable since it seemed they came to an understanding. However, after their talk near that cliff it seems as if he's misunderstood her once again. She's not willing to divulge any real details on her past, which again is completely understandable, since it can appear as if You Qian is being nosy. An Xi doesn't know who he is so she really has no reason to tell him anything. However, I can see why he's so frustrated, but it's great he realizes he's getting nowhere with his current tactic. He will never get a straight answer if he doesn't just ask her, but he's not going to do that since it'll risk her knowing his identity. So for now (at least the first half of the episode) he goes back and forth, not really knowing what to do. He looks concerned when Yong Qing's ex (?)/ fling (?) comes back and dumps food or whatever on her to get back at her, but it's An Xi who steps in and takes it. Obviously our princess is too good to see if Lunar Maria's owner is okay, but hey as long as she gets the last word in and goes back inside then it's cool.
It's obvious after that incident, You Qian is really at a loss and is even more confused. He hears Mei Wen talking about how much An Xi will sacrifice for others without ever thinking about herself. While I am on the fence about how Yong Qing actually feels about him, she does give great advice. You Qian has spent this entire time trying to either figure An Xi out or get back at her, he never really forgave himself for thinking of her the way he did. Remember, he's angry with himself for doing the things he did to gain her attention when he believes she didn't appreciate his efforts (she did). In order for him to actually move on, he has to be able to forgive himself and her - mainly himself. It's a pivotal moment for both of them since it means we won't see hot and cold You Qian anymore (at least for a while I hope), it's also helpful since it [finally] moves the plot along. From then, he figures he'd start wooing her for real to try to get to know An Xi for who she is now. Great plan so he can start over and be happy for once.

Speaking of Ya Lu, his reasons for not going after An Xi were interesting. I would have guessed he'd feel like he didn't deserve her, but he feels more indebted than anything. He explained that she took care of Ya En when he went away to study to be a teacher and she's done a lot for them, so he wouldn't feel right trying to be with her. I have a slight feeling that will change as time goes on, but for now he just is a friend and warned You Qian to make her happy. He seems like a thoughtful and good friend so I hope he stays that way.
