T-Drama Review: When I See You Again Episode 5

Never trust previews! I should be more apt to this, but OMG the initial episode teasers were so misleading. Nothing that I expected to occur in episode 5 actually happened and I am thoroughly disappointed.
Let me start by saying the episode wasn't totally bad, but I feel like we  just took 10 steps backwards. We just got over You Qian acting like a complete baby because he doesn't know how to simply ask An Xi actual questions in order to get his answers and now he's reverted backwards now that Miss Prissy has showed up. Okay, maybe I'm being too harsh, but it was frustrating to watch him basically act nonchalant about everything once Hu Yong Qing (Ivy Shao) popped up. The way he automatically posed as her boyfriend when she came with another man showed this is a regular routine and somehow he can't tell her no without her knowing he's serious. He allowed her to snap and belittle Lunar Maria employees, sure he looked sorry about it, but he should have told her to watch it. He just got on their good sides again and is setting himself up to ruin it once more.
This is a 20 episode drama, but the pacing seems slower than other dramas and I am slowly becoming bored of this misunderstanding. When will An Xi find out who You Qian really is and when will he really understand that she was already upset that day? I am happy the writer allowed him to hear enough about the only other time An Xi was pissed off enough to ignore everyone, he needed to know that her normal behavior was everything he was seeing. Since he doesn't know her birthday, he couldn't put two and two together to figure out she didn't mean to snap at him that day.
He caused a misunderstanding between An Xi and the town residents, but didn't realize the kind of effect it'd have on her until everyone gave him the cold shoulder. It's kind of funny how he finds out most things while eavesdropping on Mei Wen and Zhi Lin's conversations since he can never straight out ask An Xi himself. But it's sort of understandable why he can't ask her since she has absolutely no idea who he is so she doesn't realize all his talk about his past is actually about her. Here's to hoping she finds out soon enough.
This review is short mainly because I am so behind, but also due to me being so frustrated with this episode. I am growing increasingly frustrated with You Qian's hot and cold attitude. Episode 6's review will be up soon and it'll be far more detailed since it was much better in my opinion.
