She's there one second then gone once the changes have happened |
Okay, so we left off in episode 4 when Min Young told Sun Woo she had changed her name twice and her real name was Yoon Shi Ah, he discovered this after he changed her mother's death & gave her Jung Woo's phone number. We do see that young Min Young aka Shi Ah calls him and he shows up at the hospital to be with her. Long story short: Since Sun Woo went back and gave Shi Ah the phone number to his brother, he showed up and they ended being married. Young Hoon seems to know exactly when things changed and freaked out, especially when he saw a very much alive Jung Woo. So I'm thinking that whoever Sun Woo informs about his time traveling will have 2 memories(what their life was like before the time traveling & the past affected by the time traveling) since Young Hoon knew when the present was changed.

He freaked out when he saw a living Jung Woo |
Now, Young Hoon thinks that everything is a test for Sun Woo and he needs to go back and break up his brother and his wife because Min Young is now his niece and Jung Woo is alive. He tells him that them not being together was their fate and should not have messed with that. I agree with his friend, him going back and changing all of this is probably just a test to see which life he will choose. Since Jung Woo and his wife(sorry, don't know her name) were married a year after his dad died, he has plenty of time to change their relationship. At first though, it seems like he's alright with how everything is. His brother is married to the woman he loves and has a daughter and is alive, but he still doesn't really visit their mother or him. Min Young's personality is still the same, though she's girly unlike the alternate present time. The mom still went crazy because he hasn't changed her fate with his father yet because it hasn't happened. In case you're confused and wonder why he can't go back to change some things he already has is because the present time goes along the same time as the past(20 years ago). So when it's December 20th in 2012, it's December 20th 1992 in the show.

This is one very awkward dinner with your wife/niece |
There wasn't any time traveling this episode, just Sun Woo and Young Hoon coming to terms with what has happened. Now, even though Sun Woo's past memories have changed since he was the one who changed things he has 2 memories. He has never been to Nepal or the Himalayas in this new present since Jung Woo is still alive, but he still has the incense. This is what puzzles him so he thinks nothing is permanent in this new present when he changes things. Everything comes full circle when he finds out that Min Young has a boyfriend and she starts talking about how she wants a honeymoon in the Himalayas since it would be unique and she can have memories. Then he has flashbacks about their 'honeymoon' and she said the exact same things. This part actually makes me tear up a bit because he's thinking about how much fun they had, but can't now since they're family.

His memories during their 'honeymoon' |
Episode 6 preview tells us that Sun Woo is now missing Min Youg by his side, he hadn't realized how much she meant to him. So now I guess he's going to try to change her becoming his niece so they can be together. I have so many thoughts that were not put in here, I'm still in shock over this. What are your thoughts on this episode?
