My thoughts so far....Nine: 9 Times Time Travel

My thoughts on Nine: 9 Times Time Travel So far

So before I begin, here is the synopsis on this drama: Anchorman Park Sun Woo (Lee Jin Wook) is consumed by a family tragedy that haunts him to this day. One day, he stumbles upon a mystical gift of nine incense, each with the ability to send him back into time.
Sun Woo begins to weave in and out of history, creating shock waves that unravel the fabric of time. Meanwhile, his brother Park Jung Woo (Jeon No Min) is revealed to be at the center of the tragedy. Can he avenge his family and win back the love of junior reporter Joo Min Young (Jo Yoon Hee)? Only time can tell in this thrilling adventure of possibilities.(cr. for summary: dramafever) I've seen the first 4 episodes and decided to write what I think about this drama, these are MY thoughts alone and is not a recap so I won't be giving away too much of what's already happened.

I will start off by saying that this isn't your average time traveling drama. Park Sun Woo has been through so much in his life despite what he appears to show, he's almost an empty shell. He's a very logical person and can come off as cold in the beginning because of his unusual proposal to his junior, Joo Min Young. We begin to understand why he is the way he is very quickly. Min Young has been in love with him for 5 years and he's repeatedly rejected her, but she hasn't given up hope and randomly asks him to date her for 6 months to give it a try, she doesn't expect him to not only take her up on her offer, but to ask her to marry him...but for only 6 months and they can go their separate ways. Crazy, right? It's obvious in the first 2 episodes that he feels for her more than he's letting on. His brother died a year ago and he's just now getting the news. He ends up finding 9 incense and quickly discovers that it's a time machine and this is what his brother gave his life trying to find. He's able to go back 20 years in the past and tries to change the way his family wound up, but ends up changing more than what he had hoped for.
First let me say that this drama is very different from what some may think, it's not your run-of-the-mill time travel drama and I am praising the drama gods for this! It's not like Sun Woo is going back in time for no reason and is trying to get back to his own time, he's trying to prevent a family tragedy while also aiming to preserve what he already has in his own time(Min Young). I like this because he's not just driven by anger to avenge what was taken from him, but he wants to truly be happy. It's kind of good that he's with Min Young already because with all his time traveling and changing things in the past that he didn't think were that significant, it puts his relationship with her in jeopardy and he starts to realize his true feelings for her. Their kiss scenes are already HOT and it's only been 4 episodes. Thank you cable networks!
Praise be to the drama gods for this kiss...episode 1!

The plot was already set up in episode 1 and it's moved pretty fast since then, it hasn't been slow. Each episode so far he's found himself helping and changing something little, but in episode 4 he changes something and sees how it majorly affects his present life. I'm not willing to give too much away if you haven't seen it, I don't want to spoil it for you ;p
This may be short, mainly because I just finished watching episode 4 and I am seriously tired from being out and about all day, but I think it is somewhat informative about the show without giving too much away.

If you've seen it, what do you like most so far?
