Drama Review: Detectives of Seonam Girls High School Episode 11

Bread case gone and now we have whole new set of problems from internal to a principle whose decision I am side eyeing right now. So let's get into it
.

Before I get to the main case, I wanted to get the internal issue out of the way. What is going through Principal Yi's mind when she sends hall monitors or whatever they are to destroy school property? It's one thing to tell the girls they can longer meet there, but it's something else to start knocking down the theater's costumes and props. Then she acts like her actions will stop them from hanging out together, I'm not sure what her motivations are, but it will surely backfire like most of her stunts do. However, I think this incident really highlighted how different our detectives are especially given Ye Hee's current situation. Watching them, you'd think they were all friends from the beginning, but looks can be deceiving and it turns out that Ye Hee and Ha Jae had lingering issues from the beginning. Sung Yoon acted as a mediator who often became frustrated that she always had to act as that middle man and Mi Do was the one person who kept them all together - like the glue of the group. It was actually refreshing to see them fight the way they did because it was a long time coming and it's obvious they don't exactly hate each other, they just have had emotions built up over time and it recently exploded. Now that they have Chae Yool on the team, she seems to be taking more of a leader role next to Mi Do - whether she likes it or not and it's perfect for her. She's doing what she actually wants to do. And that includes taking on a new case, which she happily says yes to in order to get their old office back. However, I don't think they were at all ready for what they found out.
Based on the previews, some thought it was your run of the mill blackmail type of case, but I knew it would be different and I couldn't have been more correct. This time around, we find out that a mysterious person is "catching" various Seonam students misbehaving whether it's smoking or participating in lewd acts. Our case picks up from a student who is being blackmailed as having sent a video of her stripping. Han Soo Yun is the center of our current case and is facing ridicule from her classmates. Principal Yi says she believes her, but she needs proof of her innocence, but Soo Yun doesn't give much information on the person she sent the video to. It's obvious she's hiding something, but you can't exactly pinpoint what it is - until you see her reaction to seeing Eun Bin walking down the stairs. At this point, I automatically knew what her secret was (aside from the very obvious fact that the ending became a hot issue in Korea and jTBC was being investigated) and that the girls would never figure it out unless they saw more evidence. However, I do commend them for putting two and two together when Ye Hee brought the had to get couple rings to everyone's attention (even if she was only sad because she couldn't get them), they realized it was best to follow Eun Bin to see if they indeed know each other. The shock on their faces says that they didn't expect for Eun Bin to be that person Soo Yun couldn't talk about. I have yet to see episode 12, but I know it'l be the fallout of their relationship becoming public and people's reaction to it.

I am still on the fence about Ra On and his story that his uncle inadvertently killed one of his students. He said he has some evidence so hopefully it's something that support his claim rather than show he's just looking too deep into things At this point, it wouldn't surprise me if they gave us a major twist and have all of this be in Ra On's mind. I just hope we settle this before the finale or at least give us something to last us until season 2 (if they choose to go that route).

Thank goodness they didn't leaves us wondering what happened after he suddenly ran off. I liked how they changed Chae Yool's usual indifference and had her talk some sense into her brother. He needed to hear that the one he'd been talking to this entire time was the real Yoon Mi Do, him spending time with Ye Hee did nothing since she could never hold the same conversation that Mi Do would. It shows he should have listened to his sister a long time ago and really needs to start paying attention to little details like reactions. Now we see him falling for her - really falling for her.
