T-Drama Review: When I See You Again Episode 14
Episode 14 really brought some things to light as well as giving us more questions, it also confirmed my earlier opinions about Yan Ze anf Yong Qing. I love it when writers are able to not only make us feel something for the leads, but the supporting characters as well. "When I See You Again" has the ability make us care about the other stories and budding romances aside from our OTP.
The supporting romance between Yan Ze and Ya En has always intrigued me, if you've read my previous reviews then you'd see I've been pretty open about my wanting these two to hit it off. I know I may have seemed a bit obsessed with it, but that's how good the writing in this drama is; I am caring about other story lines aside from the main couple's. In most dramas, supporting characters' lives and pure existence relies on the main leads, but this drama is very different in which they are capable of carrying their own individual stories. A main point is Ya En (Zooey Tseng), she's not even a part of the main cast yet she's getting her own romance with someone who is, Yan Ze. Episode 14 was very good at showing how much Ya En's mere presence affects Yan Ze, he says she's a burden, but that's only because he doesn't know how to truly love someone since he never received it. He feels as if he needs to keep his guard up at all times or else he'll be vulnerable to getting hurt. Yan Ze has been completely honest about his childhood experiences, but he also uses it as a wall to keep people out since he never dwells on his stories. He talks about things as if he's using it for a lesson and doesn't stop to really discuss it, he never gives people a chance to comfort him which is where Ya En comes in. I personally think he already likes her and has had feelings since at least his stay at Lunar Maria, if he didn't then he wouldn't have to tell her not to like him; he'd simply say he didn't share her feelings, but he didn't. This episode also showed how he does care and has some interest, instead of driving off he led her on a walk to a store since he knew she would follow him. He either likes her or enjoys messing with her, but his eyes are different when he's dealing with her and he was genuinely amused that she was following him. From what I've seen, we'll only get more of these two in future episodes which is great since the OTP is already established.

CEO Luna is just someone I can't crack, she's so good at hiding her emotions and masking them as something else. We know An Xi's appearance has left her bewildered and she's not trying to figure out how to deal with it even though An Xi herself isn't even aware of who she is. She comes down on An Xi, but it feels like she's chastising herself instead and she somehow sees herself in her daughter. Somehow I feel like she was once like that, very bright and optimistic about life, but something happened and caused her to up and leave her new family. She wants to scold An Xi, but for what? She's done nothing but wait for her and find love in the process. Luna is also allowing her emotions to get too involved, she's already cracked in front of Yan Ze and now You Qian. Then she's attempting to force You Qian into marrying Yong Qing, why? She's not her biological daughter and she isn't someone who is in any position to arrange marriages. She's also going to let this ruin her business by doing so and she's already making bad decisions, which You Qian will likely have to fix. Then we've seen that Yan Ze is somehow working against her, I'm curious how this will turn out. He wants recognition thus he's making bad decisions while Luna is letting her emotions run the show and it will catch up with her.
As said, every character is layered and sometimes hard to read, but this sparks discussions and allows for theories.
