T-Drama Review: When I See You Again Episode 15

We see the difference between You Qian and Yan Ze and how they handle big secrets while CEO Luna is beginning to crack.

I think a significant thing we've seen in this episode is the major difference between You Qian and Yan Ze especially with how they've handled hurdles in their lives. You Qian hasn't had things easy despite what Yan Ze wants to make himself believe and he's gotten his fair share of problems, but his way of dealing with it and overcoming it is different. You Qian was angry with An Xi for a long time and did refuse to be close, but once he let go of his anger then he became a new, warmer person. Although he stayed angry for a long time and blamed An Xi for his being hurt, he also blamed himself for trusting so easily and took responsibility for his own actions. In fact, he blamed himself more than he did An Xi and once he acknowledged that he was able to get past everything else. Now that he knows CEO Luna is An Xi's mother, his first instinct is to protect her since he knows how long she's been waiting for her. Yan Ze, on the other hand, is now seeing this as an opportunity that will benefit himself. How delivering the news on her mother knowing Luna wants nothing to do with her will benefit him, I don't know, but he is aware that it could further complicate things and he set on messing things up for You Qian. His mindset is to "get others before they get him" in which he uses his charm to get close enough to get what he needs, but not too close so he won't become emotionally attached. This is what he is doing to Jennifer, pretending to like her in order to gain information about the Russian Funding Project yet he's still closed off and will never publicize their relationship. From the looks of it, he's been most honest with An Xi, but still sees an opportunity with her mother situation. He's been hurt so much and thrown out by those he cared about that he doesn't seen any purpose in forming close bonds. He has an inferiority complex and resents those who seemingly have it easy, but instead of befriending people and being genuine, he always has an agenda and opts to use them instead.
CEO Luna is still an strange character and even when she does say what's on her mind, it still feels like she's holding a lot back. It was appalling to hear her say that An Xi wasn't good enough to be acknowledged and how she was low class. I'm not sure if she is aware that it's actually her fault that An Xi didn't get the education that she seems to desire, if she hadn't have left her family then An Xi could be the person she says she wants. Since she left her kid behind and got the life she wants, she uses Yong Qing as a replacement daughter since their birthdays are on the same day. You Qian said it perfectly: She discards things like sandbags, but they're very heavy and no matter how high she climbs up, they'll drag her back down. She thinks that leaving a child behind and living vicariously through her goddaughter won't affect her, but it has and once An Xi finds out it'll come crashing down on her. She's also making crucial business mistakes since she's involving herself into her employee's personal matters and attempting to control him. Her trusted lawyer is the one who is backstabbing her yet she's wasting time trying to discard You Qian like she did her child 28 years ago.
I will say that An Xi has very good friends who have shown that they'll be there for her no matter what.
